Aliança Underground Museum
Located in the Aliança Vinhos de Portugal cellars, the Aliança Underground Museum has eight different collections on archaeology, ethnography, mineralogy, paleontology, tiles and ceramics, combining art and wine in a new concept. Inaugurated in 2010, it is the result of a collection of pieces and works of art by the collector José Bernardo.

Monastery of Santa Clara-a-Velha
The Monastery of Santa Clara-a-Velha is an important place of historical and cultural interest in the city of Coimbra. It was built in 1283 and has since undergone renovation work. The building is currently used as a museum, displaying an important collection of porcelain, earthenware, rosaries and rings, among others.

Monastery of Santa Cruz
Founded in 1131, the Monastery of Santa Cruz belonged to the Canons Regular of St. Augustine and the Congregation of Santa Cruz. Built along Romanesque and Manueline lines, the monastery has been a National Monument since 1910 and was recognized as a National Pantheon in 2003. It is linked to names such as Saint Anthony and Luís de Camões.

Coimbra's Old Cathedral
Known as the Cathedral of Santa Maria de Coimbra, the history of Coimbra's Old Cathedral dates back to the 12th century, shortly after Afonso Henriques declared Coimbra the capital of the Kingdom. This Romanesque, Gothic and Renaissance style building has been a National Monument since 1910.

Conímbriga
Known for the Ruins of a Roman City, one of Portugal's richest archaeological sites, this region takes us back to 139 BC. Here, in addition to the typical houses of these people, you'll find the remains of thermal baths, an aqueduct and a Christian basilica from the 6th century.

Castellum de Alcabideque
Built during the 1st century, the Castellum de Alcabiquete is a Roman device that was used to collect and lift water to the aqueduct that supplied the city of Conímbriga. This National Monument is located in the Condeixa-a-Velha region.

Montemor-o-velho Castle
Montemor-o-velho Castle, a place of great tourist and cultural interest, dates back to the 10th century during the Muslim occupation. From its walls, visitors can enjoy the view over the surrounding countryside and the Montemor Region.

Jorge Humberto Tennis Court
The Luso Tennis Court is the ideal place for sports lovers or those who want to try a new activity during their vacation. Its structure is set in the Buçaco National Forest, with the natural beauty of the region as a backdrop.

Caves Messias
Founded in 1926, the Messias Foundation is one of the main producers of Bairrada, Douro, Dão, Vinho Verde and Port wines in the Mealhada region. With an area of over 200 hectares, it is possible to book a visit to the Messias Quintas and Caves. At the end of the visit, enjoy a tasting of the wines produced here.

Buçaco National Forest
Located in the Serra do Buçaco, this forest is a place of high biodiversity. It covers 105 hectares, has 250 species of trees and shrubs and dozens of animal species, including fish, reptiles, birds and other mammals.

São João Fountain
Also known as "Fonte das Onze Bicas", this fountain is located next to the chapel of São João Evangelista in Luso. It is one of the must-sees for anyone visiting the Luso region.

Morgado do Buçaco
This typical sweet from the Bairrada region in Portugal, was reborn in 2011 and can now be found in many of the region's pastry shops. This traditional cake stands out for its soft and crunchy texture provided by the walnuts.

Barrigas de Freira
A traditional sweet from the Mealhada region, made from almonds, sugar and eggs. Like most of Portugal's typical sweets, the nuns' belly is a convent sweet, which became known during the 15th century.

Caramujo
Caramujo is a puff pastry sweet, molded in the shape of a conch and filled with egg custard. Given its popularity, this sweet can be found in many pastry shops from the north to the south of the country.

Leitão à Bairrada
"Leitão à Bairrada" is known for its distinctive flavor and is one of the most popular dishes in Portuguese cuisine. It is usually served whole or in pieces and with slices of orange.

Chanfana
Traditional dish made in clay pots, preferably with old goat meat and red wine. This dish can be found in most restaurants in the region. It is usually served with potatoes.
